Jim Peet has over 30 years of international investing and fund experience. He heads Fairfield Investments, providing innovative financial solutions in project finance, specialty debt solutions and fractional CFO services. Jim has expanded Fairfield’s current focus on green energy finance to include partnering with QPQ International. He is currently actively engaged in projects with a combined value exceeding $1 billion.
Jim started his career working at the consulting firms Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company, then joined a McKinsey alum investing money for George Soros. His telecom-related investments of $143M were valued at $510M when he was recruited to start the Lehman Brothers Communications Fund. He led the fundraising, ultimately raising $800 million, and successfully ran the fund despite the tech downturn of 2000-2002. He co-founded a broker dealer and did specialty debt investing before his current focus on project finance.
Jim has a degree in engineering and math / economics from Dartmouth, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar (top 5%). He is registered with FINRA (Series 7, 24, and 63) and holds a CPA license.
